Tuesday, May 24, 2011 - Dayton, OH to Columbus, OH

So we made it to Columbus for a 10AM game. Is that too early to pop in to the Brewery District?

Hi Matt! (A Saints of Pain reference for those who don't know)

A Bob Evans in the ballpark!!!

We are at the Columbus Clippers (AAA for Stephanie's beloved Cleveland Indians). They are playing the Durham Bulls (AAA for Tampa Bay Rays).

We sat in Section 23 and were watched over by Don Mattingly. (The Clippers used to be the Yankees' AAA team). Todd blocked out Chief Wahoo in this picture. Oh, Todd.

Krash led the chanting.

We found a really big bat, ball and glove.

A really nice stadium, there was a concession stand open on all sides.

O(hio State Buckeyes)

Since it was a 10AM game, most of the attendees were schoolkids. The poor beer-lady was very lonely.

We found some sculptures - Stephanie and LouSeal.
Dancing with sculptural Krash

Stephanie totally wanted to ride in the baseball but couldn't even get her behind inside!

Mmm...Stadium Mustard
Go Clipppers!

Todd is showing off his new T-Shirt. Thanks Kris from NC!

We think this guy ducked out of the OR for a quick game.

HA HA!

Taking his very life into his hands (and appropriately, standing in front of a garbage can). It's a Big 10 thing.

Stephanie and the REAL LouSeal!

The dog thought the umpires looked thirsty.

A photo finish at the Hot Dog Race!

Bertman's Stadium Mustard is in the lead! (duh)

These guys left court to go to a ballgame.

The Big 10 Baseball Tournament will start tomorrow!

But we are here today.

HOORAY! The Clippers won! The Indians' farm teams are 3-0 on our trip.

So off we went to do some sight-seeing. We stopped by the topiary version of the Seurat painting A Sunday Afternoon on the Isle of La Grande Jatte.

And then we went to see a BIG HORSESHOE!
Outside the gates.

The zoomed-in view from the gate.

But they left a gate open, so in true Buckeye fashion, Stephanie ran inside! Go Buckeyes!

This place was the cause of many fights in Stephanie's childhood home.

And it seems like we parked right on it!

To celebrate Stephanie's super-stealth mission inside the Horseshoe, we listened to IKILLYA's new release called Recon. Stephanie is a spy, or something.

Go go go! Run away! Hello Kentucky!

We have crossed the line.

Hard to argue with their reasoning...

But we managed. This was in the parking lot of our hotel! Since it was the Biggest Loser finale night, we ate here twice, once for dinner and once for dessert. YUM!
